Theres a bold clarity to this square frame: the generous proportions, sharply defined contours, and especially the luminous gilding that catches the light with striking brilliance. The surface is richly carved with a rhythmic, undulating foliate motif that gives the frame a sense of movement and liveliness, each curve crisply defined beneath its radiant gold leaf.
The gilding remains vivid and opulent, amplifying the frames presence and lending it a sense of ceremony.
